I have created this Blog to show family and friends what chickens and animals I currently raise, what chickens and animals I'm interested in and to give buyers a way to view the background and breeding history of any chickens or animals I might sell.

SILKIE PICTURES

I finally went out and took a few pictures of my Blue and Blue Splash Silkies. Here's a few pictures to give everyone an idea of how mine look. I've been raising a bunch of babies so I'll be adding their pictures on here soon.

NEW SPLASH PULLET

This is our new Splash Silkie Pullet. I received her along with a pair of Whites and a Black Cockerel from a top Silkie breeder here in the west. I'm very excited to use her in with my other Splash Silkies.

THIS IS A SPLASH THAT I THINK IS A COCKEREL AROUND 9 WEEKS OLD

THIS IS A BLUE THAT I THINK IS A PULLET. SHE IS GETTING A HUGE TOP AND NICE BEARD. SHE'S HUDDLED IN THE CORNER SO SHE'S STANDING KIND OF WEIRD IN THIS PICTURE. SHE'S MY FAVORITE RIGHT NOW.

My silkie chicks

So This is the one and only Silkie chick I've been able to hatch this summer. I sent off for at least three dozen eggs from different breeders and was only able to hatch this one cute little partridge chick. It wasn't easy, I had to pretty much do all of the "hatching" myself but I think it's going to make it. It's two days old in these pictures.

This is one of the splash chicks I recently got from back east. It's around 5-6 weeks old.

This is one of the blue silkies that got with the splashes. It's about 5-6 weeks old.

Silkie chicks

This a picture of the silkie chicks I recently purchase from PeekabooSilkies back east. Their in the temporary brooder for a day or two. Once I move them to the new brooder I'll take some better pictures. They are around 4 weeks old.
